There's nothing like family. So when my Mom and my Aunt Patty decided to Thelma and Louise themselves down to Madison for the day I grabbed my camera and played tour guide.
I can't take credit the photo above...it was my Mom's vision that captured this photo.
Since 1994 I've been fasinated by photography. Whether it's a simple portrait or a dynamic landscape, photography is real. It may be altered with processing techniques or computer programs, but what the camera captures is life, through the eyes of the photographer. Some pictures evoke feelings of sadness while others joy. Pictures can bring people together or tare people apart. It's 1 part vision coupled with 1 part interpretation that make photography something that moves people. It's been a while since I've had the desire to make an interest into a hobby. There is only so much one can do with a point and shoot digital camera. A month or so before my 30th birthday I realized my liking for photography should be explored. Recently I've been inspired by some friends who are great photographers: Nic, Ty and Luke. I knew it was time for me to purchase a camera that would allow me to take the pictures I wanted to take. Believe me, I'm no Ansel Adams, but this camera gets me closer to feeling like and producing great pictures. This blog is dedicated to what I see through the lens of my Nikon D60 SLR Camera.
